Maxi is the new sexy and how to wear prints

My friend Alice told me that there is not much clothes that make you look sexy. I asked for an example of a sexy look and she could only think of a typical mini dress/skirt and heels ensemble. But the number of situations when you can wear this is so limited. I could pull off this look only when I am not driving, I don't have to move around much and when the occasion I am attending is not held outside. Or if it is held outside, at least it is not windy, because my skirt may fly and reveal something I wasn't intending to show the public. =) As Alice claimed, if it is not mini and heels, you just have no chance to look sexy. To prove her wrong I found a both sexy and comfortable outfit.

The core of the outfit is a trendy abstract-pattern maxi dress. It has a drawstring waist, so you can adjust it to look even slimmer or make it more comfortable. The neckline is decorated with a flirty keyhole and doesn't need any more accents, so I would not wear a necjlace and stick to bracelets, rings and very simple earrings.

This dress is very bright and sexy, so you can use it as a base for a formal look and a casual look. Wear it for a special romantic date with your boyfiend or for a traditional Wednesdays visiting an Art gallery.

Wearing prints always brings up a big question of how to combine them with other pieces of clothes. Most of us choose the most obvious way - wear a cardigan, shoes and a bag in neutral colours like beige, maroon, and very often black. It looks fine, even classy, but a bit boring. Let's try to avoid it!

For a night-out look choose neon-lemon-coloured dress sandals and straw black-yellow-blue straw wristlet. The sandals are rather well-balanced and the platform makes your ankles look good. You could also wear flamingo pink sandals and they would work great. You may want to add some really expensive golden rings and a straw hat too.

For a casual look combine the dress with peeptoe sandals and funny multi-coloured bag, that is absolutely in tune with the dess print. Sandals are in noble blue colour and have a platform wrapped in wavy jute braid. The bag has a cute envelope form and is coloured with an amazing combination of prints. Wear a cobalt blue bead bracelet with a cute tassel or a leather bracelet with a gold chain to finish the look.
